Any age: Need some WIGGLE TIME? Use BROWN Go Noodle Wiggles button above OR ... these well known games!
K/1 BLUEBIRD SONG/GAME : Standing circle, take hands kindly, windows up (arms up).
LYRICS: Bluebird, bluebird, through my window (2x) Oh, Johnny I am tired! Find a singer tap them on the shoulder.
DIRECTIONS: One child (the bluebird) weaves in and out the windows as children sing, they must be in the circle "nest" by the word tired - put all arms down gently.
"IT" Bird finds one new singer to follow and go back to A sections as they weave in and out the windows. This doubles the number of birds each time. Repeat part A and B until you have 8 birds.
Then start with a new bird in the center.
Doggie Doggie singing circle game: Students sit in a circle. Sing the song together : "Doggie Doggie where's your bone? Someone stole it from your home." As they sing, choose a child who is singing to sit in the center and cover their eyes. Have another child walk around the perimeter with a small dog bone/item. This child will give the item to a singer who has their hands behind their back. It is a secret person, and once they give it away, they should sit in the circle. Then, the dog in the middle will then sing "Who stole my bone". The child holding the bone will sing: "I did". They dog in the center has 3 chances to guess who is holding the bone. Switch players and begin again.
2-5 Chicken on a Fence post Game: Make a double standing circle - both facing inward. Children take hands (which are the 'gates'). Teacher can put the toy chicken or any toy in the center of small circle.
LYRICS: Chicken on the fence post, can't dance Josie, Chicken on a fence post can't dance Josie,
Chicken on a fence post can't dance Josie, Hello Susan Brownie-O
DIRECTIONS: Send TWO farmers to hide their eyes at the door to the music room. As the class sings the song, the teacher "CUTS" two gates in the circles (There is only one opening in each circle). When the song ends, the two farmers 'race' to the center to get the chicken first for dinner! They should play carefully. If game feels out of control, stop playing. Then two farmers choose someone new to be the next two farmers who hide their eyes at the door.
4/5 Play Rhythm Tag: (App 15 minutes) Make a sitting circle and pass out green flashcards
Children will say: I HAVE ....Ta Ta ti-ti Ta, Who has . ti-ti Ta Ta Sh....(Green notecards with rhythms)

4/5 Play Rhythm Tag: (App 15 minutes) Make a sitting circle and pass out green flashcards
Children will say: I HAVE ....Ta Ta ti-ti Ta, Who has . ti-ti Ta Ta Sh....(Green notecards with rhythms)
- Give each child one card and turn it upside down.
a. Review the rhythms they will need to know: Ta, ti-ti, and Sh
b. Flip all cards over so they are rhythms up. Each child needs to practice what they "HAVE" so they can listen for it. - Practice 4-5 times what they have as a group. ALL SAY AT ONCE: I have ........who has.......?
- Student #ONE card has an asterisk says "I have Ta Ta ti-ti T" Who has Ta Ta Ta ti-ti and they begin the game
- Other children listen silently until they are "Tagged" to say their correct rhythm (students ALL need to know their rhythms so they can hear it called and then take their turn at the right time. Sometimes you need to ask neighbors to help look at other's cards if you have a mystery rhythm not being answered.

Place 8-10 hula hoops on the floor around the room. Prepare your fun or educational music. LINK HERE
- RULES: When the music is playing, children must stay OUT of the hoops and dance, hop, move your body SAFETLY. When the music stops, get in a hoop with self control and freeze. Additional RULES:If you go through the hoops during the music, you're out. No more than 4 children PER hoop. After a few warm up rounds, play with outs! If you are the last one IN a hoop, the ref may call your name and you are out (teacher is the ONLY referee). Come sit out and watch in the purple line. You must not go in the SAME hoop 2x in a row. Alternate or switch hoops at each pause. As you eliminate players, teacher may begin to remove hoops until you are down to only 1 hoop and very few people. You can play until you have a winner, or start again when you get to only 2-3 hoops. IF children are out of control in any way (too loud, dangerous choices, game is over.) Always be safely moving.
